Foxfire Museum

Founded in 1966 by Rabun Gap-Nacoochee students, Foxfire grew from a magazine into a bestselling book series that preserves Appalachian heritage. Today, the Foxfire Village Museum (est. 1974) is an immersive outdoor site featuring historic cabins, a blacksmith shop, and mountain life from the 1820s–1940s.
